Migration to CS-Cart
Migration to CS-Cart
Moving a trading store to a new platform is mostly about what you don’t lose. Products, customers, order history, and the search rankings you’ve spent years building.
We migrate to CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor from Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart and custom builds.
What we move
-
Products
Including variants, options, images, categories and custom fields
-
Customers
Accounts, addresses, and groups. Passwords can’t come across in readable form, so customers set a new one on first login; we build that flow so it isn’t a wall
-
Orders
Full history, so your reporting doesn’t start from zero
-
Content
Pages, blog posts, banners
-
URLs
This is the one that matters most.
The SEO part
Most migration horror stories are the same story: the store moved, every URL changed, nothing was redirected, and organic traffic fell off a cliff in week two.
We map your old URLs to the new ones and 301 them before launch: products, categories, content pages, and the paginated and filtered URLs people forget. Then we check canonicals, rebuild the sitemap, and watch Search Console for the first few weeks after go-live. The same discipline is what keeps pages from being deindexed.
If you’ve read our post on CS-Cart duplicate content, the same discipline applies here, just earlier.
How it runs
-
We take an inventory
of what exists: products, customers, orders, URLs, integrations, and anything custom
-
A test migration onto staging
so you can see your real data in the new store before committing
-
You check it.
Spot-check products, run test orders, look at the reports
-
A final sync and cutover
at your quietest hour, with redirects live from minute one
-
We watch it
for the weeks after, because that’s when SEO problems show up
What usually needs rebuilding
Be realistic about this. Themes don’t migrate: a CS-Cart store needs a CS-Cart theme. Neither do platform-specific apps; the equivalent is either one of our add-ons or a small build. We tell you which of your current apps has a direct replacement and which doesn’t, before you commit.
How it’s priced
Fixed price, quoted after we’ve seen the store.
The main drivers are catalogue size, how much order history you’re keeping, how many integrations need rebuilding, and whether you want the design rebuilt or matched.
Questions we get asked
A straightforward catalogue is usually a few weeks. Multi-Vendor with vendor data and payouts takes longer.
Not if the redirects are done properly. Expect a wobble for a few weeks while Google recrawls. That's normal and it recovers.
Yes. That's a common move and it's mostly about deciding who owns which products, and setting up commission and payouts.
We can rebuild it closely on CS-Cart. An exact copy is rarely the right goal. Some of it will be working around your old platform's limits.
