CS-Cart Upgrade Service

CS-Cart Upgrade Service

If you’re two or three versions behind and an upgrade has already failed once, that’s the normal reason people call us.

  • Fixed price before we start
  • Staged on a copy first
  • Up to the latest release
  • Official partner

We upgrade to whatever the current CS-Cart release is. Being a few versions behind isn’t unusual, but it gets more expensive to fix every year you leave it, and eventually your host stops offering the PHP version your store needs.

What we do

We upgrade on a staging copy first.

Always. Your live store keeps trading while we find out what breaks. Every problem we hit becomes a written runbook for the live upgrade, so the real one is short and predictable.

One version at a time, in order.

Skipping two or three releases can mean eight or more separate steps, each with its own migrations. We run them in sequence with a database dump before each one.

We check your add-ons and theme before we start.

Every add-on, its version, whether a compatible release exists, and what happens to the ones whose vendor has disappeared. This is where most upgrades actually fail, and it’s cheaper to find out now.

We tell you if a rebuild is cheaper.

If core files were edited directly, your theme’s vendor is gone, and half your add-ons are unsupported, an upgrade is archaeology. We’ll say so rather than bill you for it.

What you get

  • The upgrade, on a current CS-Cart version
  • Checkout tested end to end with every payment method you accept
  • Your custom add-ons tested individually
  • A staging copy you can check before we touch live
  • A written record of what changed, what broke, and what we did about it
  • A rollback plan that’s been tested, not assumed

How it’s priced

A fixed price, quoted after we’ve looked at your store. The look costs you nothing.

What moves the number: how many versions you’re jumping, how many third-party add-ons you have, whether core files were modified, and whether your theme is custom. We tell you which of those applies to you before quoting.

Proof

Read our CS-Cart upgrade case studies for the versions people started on, what broke on the way, and what it took to fix.

We have also published the pre-flight checklist we work through before touching a live store.

Questions we get asked

Some will, some need updating, and some are dead. We check every one before starting and tell you which is which.

Briefly, during the live run. We schedule it for your quietest hours and everything is rehearsed on staging first.

Yes. We identify what was changed and move it into add-ons so the next upgrade is clean.

We restore from the dump taken immediately before that step. That plan is tested before we begin.

Tell us which version you’re on and we’ll tell you what the jump involves.
