How It Works

1. Customer enters their phone number at checkout and places the order.
2. A mobile money payment prompt (USSD or STK push) is sent directly to the customer's phone.
3. Customer authorizes the payment by entering their mobile money PIN on their phone.
4. The store automatically detects payment confirmation and updates the order status.

No redirect to an external payment page is needed. The customer stays on your store and sees a real-time waiting page that updates as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Requirements

• CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.x
• A pawaPay merchant account
• PHP 7.0 or higher
• SSL certificate on your store (HTTPS)

Installation

1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip
2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
3. Go to Administration → Payment methods and add a new payment method.
4. Select "pawaPay Payment Gateway" as the processor.
5. Enter your pawaPay API token, select the correspondent (mobile money operator) and currency.
6. Configure the webhook URL in your pawaPay dashboard (shown in the payment settings).
7. Test with sandbox mode before switching to live.
