Checkout Modes

• Redirect (Default) — Customer is redirected to Tap's secure hosted payment page
• Inline (Embedded Popup) — Tap's goSell.js opens a popup directly on your checkout page. Customer pays without leaving your store.

How It Works

1. Customer completes checkout and selects Tap Payments
2. A charge is created via the Tap API and the customer is redirected to the Tap hosted payment page (or inline popup appears)
3. Customer enters payment details on Tap's secure page (KNET, mada, Benefit, card, or Apple Pay)
4. After payment, the customer is redirected back to your store
5. The addon verifies the charge status via the Tap API and updates the order accordingly
6. A webhook notification provides a server-side backup to ensure no payment is missed

Requirements

• CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.x
• A Tap Payments merchant account (tap.company)
• Your Tap secret API key (sk_test_* for sandbox, sk_live_* for production)
• SSL certificate on your store (HTTPS)

Installation

1. Upload the addon ZIP via the CS-Cart admin panel (Add-ons → Upload & install)
2. Go to Administration → Payment methods → Add payment method
3. Select "Tap Payments Gateway" as the processor
4. Enter your Tap secret key and configure the currency and status mappings
5. Save and activate
