This addon connects your CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor store directly to the Payflex payment gateway using their official REST API. Redirect-based checkout keeps you fully PCI compliant (SAQ A) with zero card data touching your server.

How It Works

1. Customer adds items to cart and selects Payflex at checkout
2. Your store creates a Payflex order via API and redirects the customer to Payflex’s hosted checkout
3. Customer completes identity verification and payment plan setup on Payflex
4. Payflex approves the order and redirects the customer back to your confirmation page
5. A webhook confirms the payment status, and the order is marked as Processed automatically
6. You receive the full order amount upfront — Payflex handles the instalment collection from the customer

Product Page Widget

The built-in widget shows a “Pay in 4 instalments” message below the product price on every eligible product page. It automatically calculates the instalment amount based on the product price and only appears when the price falls within Payflex’s accepted range (R10 – R50,000 by default).

Refunds

Issue full or partial refunds directly from the order detail page in your CS-Cart admin. No need to log in to the Payflex merchant dashboard. Refunds are processed via API with idempotency protection — accidental double-clicks won’t create duplicate refunds.

Requirements

• CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.6.3 or higher
• PHP 7.1 or higher (tested up to PHP 8.3)
• Payflex merchant account (merchant.payflex.co.za)
• Store currency set to ZAR (South African Rand)
• SSL certificate (HTTPS) on your store

Installation

1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip file
2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
3. Go to Administration > Payment methods and add a new payment
4. Select Payflex (Buy Now Pay Later) as the processor
5. Enter your Payflex Merchant ID and Merchant Secret (from your Payflex merchant dashboard)
6. Enter your Merchant Name for the product page widget
7. Click Auto-detect limits to fetch your min/max amounts
8. Set to Test (Sandbox) mode for initial testing, then switch to Live
9. Save and place a test order
